"It's something that I think should have probably been done a long time ago, and probably a hold up was me and some of this stuff, but I believe that we really need to know who is the champion. "We've never really had a champion four since we started doing this," Long said.

Long confirmed the series would be seven races, with racers only claiming their best six. These will be awarded in a special end-of-the-year gala awards banquet. All four class points funds will pay back five spots, and all top ten finalists in all four classes will receive real gold rings, a trophy and jacket. The Ultimate Street titlist will earn $10,000.

Winning a championship will be lucrative as the Pro 275 champion will pocket $50,000, while X-Treme 275 and Outlaw Drag Radial divisions claim $25,000. Street Nationals, Snowbird Nationals, and a new event at Alabama International Raceway into one robust drag radial tour. The FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series will join Long's Sweet 16, Lights Out and No Mercy events with Orlando's World Street Nationals, Bradenton's U.S. Long confirmed FuelTech would serve as title sponsor, while ProLine Racing Engines would handle the series administration, which could grow to as large as a quarter-million-dollar enterprise.
"Instead of all of the drama between the tracks, we are bringing everyone together," Long explained. Long's staple facility' South Georgia Motorsports Park, will be joined by Orlando Speed World, Bradenton Motorsports Park, and Alabama International Raceway in this inaugural championship points series.
"This is the first time we've ever put together a big points deal between tracks," Long confirmed. Long said the new series will be called the FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series. However, when it comes to this style of racing, Long is pretty much the "Pied Piper" of small-tire racing, thus requiring clarification. I'm not considering this my series, I'm just considering this everybody's series." This is just as much Ozzy Moya's, just as much Victor Alvarez's, just as much Jason Collins' and FuelTech, ProLine, Energy and Callies and the racers. One thing Long wants to make crystal clear is, "This isn't my series." The tracks, along with sponsors, will invest into the points fund. Long, with a group of sponsors FuelTech, Proline Racing, Energy, Callies, Scott Tidwell Racing, and M&M Transmissions, as well as multiple tracks, plan to institute a point system in 2022 to determine who is the best in the signature divisions of PRO 275, X-Treme275 (following established X275 rules), Outlaw Drag Radial (following established Limited Drag Radial rules), and Ultimate Street (following Ultra Street rules). However, there was no one singular champion. Other tracks presented their variations of what this style of racing should be, and they, too, crowned their champions. During this time, the winners of his events were declared race champions for his style of racing. Donald Long has brought championship small-tire drag races to the masses for over a decade.
